I've been quiet the last couple of weeks. My brain has just been busy mulling things over. I've wanted to wait until everything was final and I had a start date, but not telling people was a way of leaving myself an escape route. So, here goes. I've decided to go to school in the hopes of becoming a teacher. I know, I took long enough to decide. I mean, I'm almost 33. All I can really say is that this fits with the preparation that needs to be done to receive God's blessing. I originally thought I would do it all online, but am going to see someone about a less expensive way to do this. I'm preparing for a blessing, I want to do that with as few burdens as possible.
Oh, I did get a job. It's a part time job, two evenings during the week and two afternoon/evenings on the weekend. So, I should still be able to do the school work. The funny thing is, this is a job I was passed over for a month or so ago. However, God's timing is right. If I had started the job then, I might not have been where I needed to be regarding school. His ways are perfect.
All that being said. I sometimes find myself struggling. Sometimes it's difficult justifying going to the church of my choice, or should I say it's easy to justify not going due to the amount of time and gas and inconvenience to my loving, supportive husband. Unfortunately I have found that when I don't have that fellowship and renewing that it's easy to fall back into bad habits. Even the good habits I have developed get done with less passion. The longer I go without the connection the harder it is to go back.
Jeremiah 8 really hit home today, especially vs. 4-17. http://www.youversion.com/bible/jer.8.11.kjv
It hurts Him and there will be consequences. God strengthen me. Guide my steps. Pour out your peace. Let your forgiveness and love flow through me.

Lord, Help Me
1 Corinthians 13:1
1 Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal.
Oh, God, help me. Help me to always be in Your love. May Your love be evident in everything I write, but even more than that, may Your love be pouring out of my life to those around me. I can't control another person's response to my actions, but I can take every step, precaution, measure to ensure that each action and word is in love. Help me not to miss an opportunity to share Your love, even by simply not thinking, not seeing. Thank You for Your merciful forgiveness when I fail. Lord, I love you. Help me to be a vessel for Your love.

Just a normal day
Nothing earth shattering today. Well, that's not exactly true. The greatness of our God is more than enough to shatter this old world. I mean, we're awake, we have eaten, or soon will, I assume we are clothed and apparently we are on the Internet, which is really a luxury. So, I would say that is enough reason to thank Him and praise His name.
The really awesome thing is we know He has even greater things for us, both today and further in the future. So rather than worry about what is coming up next, not that it helps anyhow (Luke 12:25-26), let's praise Him for His mercy and loving kindness. We can prepare to receive His blessings. Regardless of whether or not He has revealed any of His plans to us, we can be ready. We can thank Him and praise Him for what is coming and seek Him. If we are following Him daily, He will make sure we are where we need to be and well prepared for what He wants to do for us and in us.
Lord, I thank you for each of the friends that share this time with me. Lord, I thank You for your blessings and provisions in each of our lives. I pray Your wisdom, strength, and peace flow through us. Guide our steps and keep our eyes You. For You are great and You alone deserve all the glory, honor, and praise. You know each and every need and You will provide. Thank You, Lord. Thank You, Jesus.
Have a blessed day, friends.
